The Clifton Arc Area is the historic center of The University of Cincinnati campus. The area was once part of Burnet Woods Park, and its greensward is symbolic of that legacy and intrinsic link to the past.
Clifton Arc functions as the west entrance to campus, with easy access to University Pavilion and MainStreet. Meisner + Associates / Land Vision created a design that restores the historic character of the greensward while providing pathways and connections to the surrounding edges. Arboretum trees are added randomly throughout the Clifton Arc to enhance the meadowlike appearance of the area.
The proposed paths are designed to blend with the surrounding grade and retain the character of the Burnet Woods Park.
