A dramatic new hospital has transformed the skyline of downtown Springfield delivering improved health care to greater Springfield.  

 

Six urban blocks have become a unique landscaped campus hosting tree allées, garden terrace, outdoor cafe, therapy garden and two green roofs to uplift spirits and provide a healing environment for patients, family members, staff and neighbors.

 

The therapy garden provides opportunity for patients to gradually regain walking and motor skills in an outdoor environment.  

 

Sitting plazas at the entry and a garden terrace at the cafeteria provides gathering spaces and opportunities for personal reflection and meditation.
